My political activities started in Massachusetts in 1976 when I first
registered to vote......as a Republican. I first voted in the fall
of that year for President Gerald Ford.
At the University of Massachusetts, which was then a bastion of the left,
I was elected President of the College Republicans. During Ronald Reagan's
Presidential campaign, I had the honor of shaking his hand at a political
rally in Boston. In Amherst, MA I hosted a talk show on WMUA radio. After
graduating, I became very involved with the Massachusetts Republican Party
and was the Chairman of the Lexington Republican town committee (similar
to the California Central Committees) . In 1988, I ran for the State
Senate and won the Republican nomination. In the 1990’s, I joined
Republican Governor Bill Weld’s administration, managing two state
agencies. I was also a political commentator during the 1992 presidential
election on “Boston Common”, a Sunday morning news show on WNAC-TV
in Boston. Lately, I have appeared on the Fox News Channel, MSNBC,
and numerous radio talk shows throughout the country.
As President of the Hollywood Congress of Republicans (2004-2008), I
worked hard to build up our membership and to be a force within the
Hollywood Community to counter the ever prominent "Hollywood Left". I also
successfully partnered with the many other Republican groups and
organizations in Southern California to promote our philosophy and elect
Republicans to office.
