1. The California Congress of Republicans (CCR) was founded as a grass roots volunteer organization in1989, with its primary objective being to elect Republicans to all levels of government.

2. The CCR is California’s fastest growing and most ethnically diverse Republican organization that pre-primary endorses GOP candidates.

3. The CCR is a permanently chartered organization of the California Republican Party (CRP — www.cagop.org) and is authorized to organize local CCR Chapters to help educate, train and involve Republican voters and candidates in California.

4. The CCR prints and mails to all member households, a copy of its newspaper Grass Roots, four times a year to keep them informed on issues and events.

5. The CCR also maintains a Website (http://www.ccrgop.org) which lists all of the leadership of the State CCR, the 50 local Chapters around California, and shares events and ideas.

6. The main purpose of the State CCR is to assist the local Chapters in their operations. The CCR Board of Directors is controlled by the local Chapters.

7. The CCR has both a State and Federal PAC (Political Action Committee) which all local Chapters may use. The local Chapter alone decides how the money they raise is spent.

8. The CCR provides a CPA trained in PAC reporting to handle all reports for the State CCR and the local Chapters. (The cost is divided among the Chapters using the service.)

9. The CCR is expanding to other states, and works with the Republican National Committee by co-sponsoring campaign schools.

10. The CCR offers low cost Web pages for Chapters to help better communicate.

11.  The CCR welcomes moderates and conservatives, outreaches to new citizens, and is dedicated to electing more Republican women and non white ethnic minorities.

12.  The CCR offers a speakers list for local Chapters to use for their meetings.

13. The CCR offers very low cost liability insurance for special, local events.
